Together to innovate

Macmazza and Filippo Griggio are collaborating to present an innovative solution at Hannover that combines a panel saw with a through-drilling center, offering itself as an alternative to nesting machining. This technology allows for two specialized and interconnected machining centers, increasing productivity and simplifying job management.

Panel sizing offers greater precision and less waste, while through-drilling enables detailed, clean machining on multiple sides of the panel. With one operator, you can double productivity and optimize cost and time, meeting market needs and improving production efficiency

Macmazza

50 years of flexible panel saws (Special systems “turnkey”, custom, standard and used overhauled) controlled by PC since 1989, to guarantee the highest levels of technology sector but easy to use and maintain, with amazing results in qualitative and quantitative terms.

The mechanics and electronics base of the machines is the same for all the models in production: from semiautomatic to the completely robotized.
Also proposed is an Internet location:
Possibility of “modular growth” which highlights even more the toughness, Reliability and flexible technology, not common characteristics, especially in models of machines with a more simple configuration.

We are present in more than 30 countries around the world

History

The STORONI family has deep roots in the world of business, with a tradition that dates back to the 19th century, in the heart of the mechanical and nautical industry. A history that is intertwined with progress, work and passion for the sea.

It was the period between the two world wars when Alberto STORONI, grandfather of the current president, began to trace the path of the family in the mechanical sector. With his ingenuity and determination, he founded a solid tradition, based on the processing of iron. The company, which was born with these first activities, would later lay the foundations for a legacy that would last over time, combining innovation with respect for the past.

Alberto’s three sons divided the family businesses, each taking a distinct direction but linked by a common thread: love for work and commitment. Among these, the passion for sailing stands out, which materialized in Fano with the Cantieri Moschini and Custom Line. Here, exploiting the mechanical skills of the family, skeletons of fiberglass boats were created, some up to 40 meters long. A work that not only represented excellence in the sector, but also fueled the family’s passion for the sea, a passion that continues to live and sail today, as demonstrated by the ties with the nautical world and the sponsors who support this tradition.

But the history of the STORONI family is not limited to sailing. Engineer Marco STORONI, father of the current president Alberto, distinguished himself for the design and construction of iron structures of great importance. It was he, with his vision and ability, who created some of the main exhibition and sports buildings, but also numerous industrial iron warehouses that marked the development of the Pesaro industry, helping to shape a city that was growing with strength and determination.

In the 1970s, the STORONI family’s Carpenteria Meccanica took a fundamental step in its journey, reaching the prototyping and mass production of bases for some of the most renowned names in the woodworking sector. Companies such as Morbidelli, IDM, Stemas and others took advantage of its experience and ability in working iron, making STORONI a reference name in the sector.
Over the years, the company continued to grow and evolve, until, in the 1980s, a decisive meeting with the MAZZA family changed the course of its history. The family, pioneers in the production of Panel Saws, had already been operating globally since the 1960s. This collaboration led to the creation of MACMAZZA in 1983, a crucial moment that marked the beginning of a new era for STORONI, culminating with the union of the two companies, thus combining the mechanical know-how of STORONI with the expertise of woodworking machinery of MAZZA..

Engineer Marco STORONI, the first designer and creator of the solutions, together with his son Alberto, who began distributing customized cutting machines and systems all over the world at a very young age in 1989, led the Company’s Dedicated experiences to exponential growth in customization, considered the source of survival in an industrial district so competitive towards such a globalized market. Alberto, who had a passion for work and innovation, contributed to the diffusion of STORONI machines in every corner of the globe, with many systems still operating after more than 30 years of intense activity.

6000 sq. m. covered and 13,000 uncovered in downtown Pesaro the first since 1968 plus subsequent expansions

Maria Luisa, Marco’s daughter and Alberto’s sister, is still a company point of reference for raw material procurement and administration, thus completing a team that combines experience, ingenuity and organizational skills. Together, with the help of a highly qualified historic and current team, they managed to design and build series and custom-made systems worth millions of euros. STORONI and MACMAZZA worked for prestigious clients, such as FRIULINTAGLI, LUXOTTICA, SCAVOLINI, BERLONI, COLOMBINI, FEBAL, but also for third parties who, over three shifts, processed enormous quantities of material, from imitation wood to plastic, up to 150 mm thick aluminum. Companies such as AVIOMETAL, MICROMATIC, BIEMMEGI, and UNIVERSALPACK were just some of the companies that relied on these technologically advanced machines.

Today, under the HI TECH GROUP brand, Macmazza continues to exploit its experience in the machinery and market sector. The company has expanded its scope, providing turnkey systems for the most diverse applications, always cutting edge and with a strong focus on the specific needs of customers. A journey that, starting from mechanical carpentry and the first innovations in the nautical sector, has led the STORONI family to be a reference name in the international industrial panorama.

The history of MACMAZZA did not stop with the merger with the MAZZA family, but continued its path of innovation with a new, significant alliance. Recently, in fact, MACMAZZA joined forces with the GRIGGIO family, a name of great prestige that, for three generations, has been recognized worldwide for its experience in the production of woodworking machinery.

This union brought with it a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise that has integrated perfectly with the roots of STORONI. In particular, Filippo Griggio, the last member of the Griggio family, has transferred his fundamental experience in CNC Through Hole Drilling Machines to the new MACMAZZA-GRIGGIO company. These machines, essential for the precise and automated processing of materials, represent an essential complement to the cutting lines, perfecting production and bringing it to new levels of efficiency.

The union has allowed us to further enhance MACMAZZA’s offering, with production lines that are not only fully automated, but also computerized according to the principles of Industry 4.0 and 5.0, ensuring total interconnection between machines, processes and data. In fact, each system is designed and custom-made to meet the specific needs of each customer, always with particular attention to customization and the creation of “turnkey” solutions, capable of satisfying even the most complex requests.
This new synergy has made MACMAZZA-GRIGGIO even more competitive and ready to respond to the challenges of a constantly evolving market, while maintaining the quality and tradition that are the trademark of the two families

Griggio

Griggio, a brand on the market since 1946 has always pursued a few simple rules to offer its customers long-lasting and efficient products. For 78 years, we have tried to represent our Mission to the best of our ability:

  • The best technology for woodworking and composite materials.
  • Security and reliability that companies can count on.
  • Service and support.
  • Being sustainable toward people and the environment (INDUSTRY 5.0).

Filippo Griggio’s willingness to pursue the vision of his grandfather before him and his father led him to merge experience, know-how and technology with those who, in the market for just as long, think like him: Alberto Storoni of Macmazza. A common DNA but with a strong specialization in their own fields, respectively sectioning and through-hole drilling-milling. Since 2005 Griggio has been developing these machines, which have been , designed, built and sold in more than 160 units, in more than 30 countries.
We are not talking about large numbers but the philosophy of this product has always been to be a niche product, aimed from the beginning at special and line needs.
The partnership with MACMAZZA has allowed the realization of a new, ambitious and highly technological project.
